A Jawholder feeding from the fruit inside a Tropical Jaw Tree

The Tropical Jaw Tree, also known as the Hungry Bush, is a 6-8 foot tall carnivorous plant indigenous to the Purple Forest on Gamila. Much like pitcher plants on Earth, The Jaw Tree will give off a sweet-smelling scent that attracts animals, then open to reveal the delicious fruit inside. Once the creature climbs inside to eat the plant and touches the Jaw Tree's many tiny feelers, the Jaw Tree slams shut and fills with an acid, disintegrating the creature. It then sucks the nutrients from the dissolved prey through small holes inside its "mouth". However some creatures, most notably the Jawholder, have found a way to consume the fruit without being consumed themselves.
