Ombas are often transparent.

Ombas are extremely tiny aquatic animals native to Gamila. They live deep in the Paddleton sea and use a very odd adaptation that provides food and protection. Groups attach to a large animal, make a small cut in the skin, and release thousands of tiny bacteria into the slash. The bacteria is extremely lethal to most animals besides Ombas, and it eradicates the immune system immediately. The creature then dies of infection, allowing the Omba group to use it as a food source, breeding ground, and home. When scavengers come to consume the dead body of the large animal, the Omba babies attach to them, continuing the cycle.
