A Katbug (Image not to scale)

Katbugs, or more formally known as Cliks, are tiny, scaly animals native to Oragma on Gamila. They use their long mouths to drill holes in Lommtin Trees and other large Oragmian desert plants. They fly in swarms and feed off the blood and inner juices of other animals. Surprisingly, their mouths are not used to open up the skin of the animal. Katbugs choose a much more gruesome approach, using their back pincers to cut open the animal and feed on the bare muscle exposed by the cut. They are named after the clacking noise they make when flying. Katbugs are also sometimes found in Islanda, but act more as scavengers than parasites.
