Ivanov Stephashin is a Bio-Morph explorer, intellect, sociologist, mercenary, and war veteran. In the Human Readiness Committee, he is known as the Bio-Morph of Russia.
Born of a predominately red skin. A common appearance stereotype used by non-morphs to describe rogues who don't follow the morph philosophy of intellectualism. More importantly a rare find among morphs, Ivan shares no loyalties to the overall goal of his employers. Preferring the freedom his occupation espouses.

Ivanov was born to a Mergen think tank joining between two red morph's. Since he was born Ivanov has been leading an unusual lifestyle seen by most as unprecedented. He joined a Skeke pirate vessel known as the Danseker, yearning for freedom. As the only morph member. He was granted position of captain of the Danseker in the early 1200's after the original captains hereditary line of succession ended. Contracts taken by Stephashin and the Danseker crew then on ranged from simple smuggling, piracy raids, murder, the capture of religious extremists, and allying himself with several empires all for the purpose of money. Later in the 1500's, he recruited Belu Tatiana Lucas and Valentina Sara, other morph children from empire territory.

- Ivanov (Ивано́в) is a different version of "Ivan", a russian equivalent of John. It is a common surname in Russia and Bulgaria.
- Ivanov's skin color, Red, or krasni, in russian culture is a term used to describe something beautiful.
- Ivanov's birth year coincides with the foundation of the Kievan Rus'.
