Ittarates are large, aquatic herbivores native to Gamila's Paddleton Sea. They, at their full size, are about 50 feet long, making them one of the largest of Gamila's animals. This is drastically emphasized, as Ittarate eggs are considered plankton and are near microscopic. These large animals feed off of fallen Lesser Canopies. As the Canopies only fall after they spread their seeds, the Ittarates can survive longer off little food via short hibernations and careful rationing. They are often eaten by Ungades.
