Garai Bakari, or known by her given name Irisi Kesi Bast, or Kesi VIII, and at one point Kesi I of Uko and Kekshe by conquest, is the Bio-Morph monarch of the Bakari Kingdom of Mergen. A kingdom dating back to Mergen's pre-cataclysmic era. In the Human Readiness Committee, she is known as the Bio-Morph of Egypt. Kesi is part of the Nine Sovereigns. A collective term of morphs who once held nobility in the pre-spaceflight era and survive to this day. In Kesi's case, she was born in the Imperial Era but survived to see the post-imperial galaxy.
Raised as Kesi VIII, the future heir presumptive to the throne. Gerai, from 100 to her impending adulthood at age 400, was consistently groomed by her parents and surviving grandfather. Ascending the throne in 1041 AD.
