A Logfish hunting against a Ridge Fern

Logfish are small, bulky fish native to Gamila's shores. They hunt by swimming mouth-up, using sticky saliva from their long tongues to catch small insects like Hookbellies or Teki. They can release the same saliva from the pores in their sides, driving away predators, but this only works when in the water. This saliva contains fibers from Sky Specks, which they catch by basking on high surfaces like rocks or Ridge Ferns.
