Litvaardpa Dummi (occasionally shortened by locals to "Litva") is the third planet in the Toseike System, found within known Korvax space. It is an inconsequential, "backwater" Radioactive Planet located within the Ospeleshv Fringe along the edge of the Euclid Galaxy. It is known as the homeworld of the vegetation known as Toothpaste.
Summary[]
Litvaardpa Dummi is a moonless planet in the Toseike System. It is inundated with gamma radiation, making it inhospitable to most organisms not indigenous to the planet itself. The weather here is volatile and dangerous, and because of this the local Aeron sentinel drones are relaxed. It has a mean temperature of around 53.4°F in the daytime and 37.3°F at night, a radiation level of 6.0 - 6.4, and a toxicity level that fluctuates between 0 and 3.9.
Vegetation have figured out how to properly deal with the radiation and thus are abundant across the globe. Fauna are only found occasionally, however
History[]
Genetic Transference[]
At some point during galactic history, a genetic exchange of wildlife between Litvaardpa Dummi and Zukabergo-Nama Gusuk occurred where the enslaved Korvax were forced to move various organisms via the Gek First Spawn. This exchange appears to have involved fauna (including ancestors of both the Cohore lineage and the Speckled Gekdog, as well as the Glendale Nemone) being moved to Litva and flora (specifically, an ancestor of the Spiny Toothpaste) being brought over to Zukabergo. While the underlying reasons for this exchange are not known to modern cosmic historians, the eventual outcome is clear: The Cohore ancestor served as a missing link between the Cohores and Tailshrikes of Zukabergo and the giant Bhonciero, and the Gekdog evolved into the Lobed Gekdog, which then led to the evolution of the Stegobufosuchids and Vaardpadillos. The Glendale Nemone, though a hardy species in its own right, adapted into the Dayglo Nemone. The exact species of Toothpaste brought over is unknown, but it eventually led to the Spiny Toothpaste.

Flora[]
Name | Color | Discovered by | Brief description | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Purple-and-black striped, marigold bulb | Somarinoa | An aggressive, parasitic organism that leeches most of its necessary nutrients from other nearby vegetation, letting them to only require atmospheric moisture as an external source. This moisture is gathered in their glowing bulb. They are often found alongside Scorchlips. They multiply via a marrow bulb. | ||
Shades of green | Somarinoa | A species of spongepus. Like other spongepodes, they have a spongy coating, which they use to pull in sublimated nitrogen to feed off of. They do not have a particularly great root structure of their own, and thus rely on other species' criss-crossing roots to help hold them in place, forming a sort of symbiosis. | ||
Drab brown | Somarinoa | A species of flora similar in structural appearance to a gastropod. They have an elongated tuber "body" underground but otherwise restricted roots. They feed via nitrogen fixation. They are calcifuge and thus cannot survive in alkaline soil. | ||
Peach & green | Somarinoa | A species of Toothpaste that feed via nitrogen fixation. Their roots seek heat and allow the cylindrical tubes to feel hot to the touch. They reproduce by inflating their tube spikes into semi-liquid bulbs that are then lapped up and transferred via digestive systems by herbivores. | ||
Brown trunk with green foliage | Somarinoa | The Kopocus Tree are a primary flora on the planet. They are frost resistant to better survive in the colder environs of the planet, allowing them to cover the entire planet. However, they do not have a root structure and thus can easily be blown over during storms without a supporting system of roots from other, nearby vegetation. They absorb atmospheric moisture to feed. | ||
Green with peach tips | Somarinoa | A species of Spongepus. Their spongy coating is less prominent than that of the Bulky Spongepus, as they are more focused on typical autotrophic behavior than their cousins. Their root structure is minimal but fractal, allowing them to cling quite easily to surfaces. Interestingly, they are mobile and can slowly move in order to follow the star for better photosynthesis opportunities. | ||
Black and red | Somarinoa | A species of self-replicating Angervine which feeds via air leeching. They can survive transfer between locations by particularly nefarious sapient individuals. | ||
Red | Somarinoa | A species of dangerous flora that leech enzymes out of rocks. Because of their rock placement they only need stunted roots to hold themselves in place. They hold vast numbers of spores in a "balloon" that pops to spread their numbers. These sometimes can infect local organisms, leading to a deadly disease. | ||
Pale peach & mint | Somarinoa | A narrow-rooted species of Toothpaste which feed upon detritus and other forms of decomposition. While the main body of the flora taste like rot, their seeds are edible and even considered by some to be a delicacy. | ||
Blue | Somarinoa | A species of vegetation closely related to the Platinum Berry found on Ilongoqungo. Despite unsupported roots, a single "plant" can live for millennia, where they spend their days photosynthesizing the starlight. They extract trace amounts of platinum from the soil, which can be found in ample amounts when their berries are harvested. These berries are elongated. The flora's stem and cup-like leaves are covered in tiny hairs. | ||
Purple-and-black striped, orange bulb | Somarinoa | A symbiotic organism that latch on to other nearby vegetation, using them as a good anchoring point and as a method of attracting small microbes, while providing their hosts with extra nutrients in exchange. They feed by leaching from the surrounding air, filtering out small microbes to digest. The are notable for their pungent odor, and are often found alongside Bittercups. They multiply via a marrow bulb. | ||
Brownish-gray stalk with green foliage | Somarinoa | A single-stalked species that produce a large berry during certain times of the year. This attracts aerial species such as the Skilaks that will feed upon the berry and nest in the divot left upon its consumption. These creatures will produce free radicals via natural processes that then feed the Vaardnest. They reproduce by extending roots that loudly wail, known as Vaardrigoras. |
Fauna[]

---|---|---|---|---|---|
Unspecified | Unspecified | Somarinoa | A species of Nemone brought over amd evolved from Zukabergo-Nama Gusuk stock. Their root-like structures allow them to move very slowly over time. They are unpollinated and must die to spread their young. They feed upon fermenting corpses that dot the landscape. | ||
5.9m | 252.37 kg | Somarinoa | The apex herbivore on the planet, evolved from an ancestor from Zukabergo-Nama Gusuk. They are calm as nothing threatens them at adult size and heat their bodies up with a radiation-catching sail. | ||
1.47m | 71.45kg | Somarinoa | A docile species of Slateskull brought to the planet from nearby Zukabergo-Nama Gusuk and left to evolve. They live in small herds and feed upon oxide elements. Also known as the Litvaardpa Slateskulls. | ||
Unspecified | Unspecified | Somarinoa | A species of palateworm closely related to the Zinc Palateworm that can be found occasionally at the surface. They stay rooted in place by extending obtuse lobes to secure themselves, and feed by entrapping small, benthic organisms which themselves feed on zinc, giving the species a high zinc content over time. Their larvae are produced from their mouths and look like 'unstable fruit' to the casual observer, occasionally wriggling about. They are known prey of Litvaangervines. | ||
Lobed Gekdog | Unspecified | Unspecified | Somarinoa | A species evolved from an unknown genetic ancestor from Zukabergo-Nama Gusuk. They live in caverns and crevasses across the surface, and are believed to be a primitive ancestor to both the Stegobufosuchids and Vaardpadillos. | |
0.69m | 66.02kg | Somarinoa | A species of aerial organisms that spend the warm summer months hunting in small packs and nesting upon the numerous Vaardnests that dot the landscape, rearing their pups. During the harsher winter months however they flock en masse into nearby caverns and huddle together for warmth, oftentimes numbering into the millions. They are omnivorous, feeding on small flying invertebrates as well as Vaardnest berries, but they require sufficient levels of oxide elements to survive. | ||
3.39m | 141.23kg | Somarinoa | A species of large, docile grazers which feed on absorbed nutrients in local flora as well as process local radiation via their large dorsal plates. | ||
0.7 m | 32.57kg | Somarinoa | A blind, armored creature which feeds upon oxide elements. Because of their vulnerability and small stature, they are shy by nature. |
